COVID-19

The safety of our patrons and staff is the Wexner Center’s first priority. Click here to read more about the protocols and guidelines currently in place in our building during the COVID-19 pandemic, and please check back as these measures may evolve with university guidelines.

Bag Inspection

Backpacks, regardless of size, must be placed at coat check before entering the galleries. All other bags (including purses and diaper bags) will be inspected before being allowed into the galleries. Those exceeding 11 x 15 x 5 inches (28 x 38 x 13 cm) in size must be placed in coat check. The Wexner Center for the Arts is not responsible for lost or stolen items; we recommend keeping anything on the list below at home or in your vehicle.

Coat Inspection

Patrons are encouraged to check their coats in the complimentary, self-service coat check. If guests elect to keep their coats, center security personnel may ask guests to open the coat or undergo a pat down before being admitted to the galleries.

Prohibited Items

It is recommended that you travel lightly to increase the speed and ease with which you may enter the galleries.

The following items are not permitted in the galleries:

  • Backpacks of any type (child carriers worn on the front of the body are permitted)
  • Sharp items, such as knives (including pocket knives), box cutters, and scissors

Photography

The Wexner Center invites visitors to its exhibition spaces to take still photographs without a flash for personal, noncommercial use, except where restrictions are indicated. Include #theWex with your photos, and follow us on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram @wexarts. The complete photo policy is available at the gallery entrance.

Cell Phones, iPads, Mobile Devices

Visitors are permitted to use these devices in the galleries, providing they respect the viewing experience of fellow patrons and remain aware of their surroundings. Wexner Center iPads are available in the galleries for visitors to access augmented reality information for select exhibitions.

Patrons may use small strollers inside the galleries. However, for the safety of both visitors and the artwork on display, double and oversized strollers are not permitted. Patrons may borrow a stroller during their visit on a first-come, first-served basis.
