On Thursday, August 12, the Wex will back at South Drive-In for one more outdoor screening: Do the Right Thing, Spike Lee's masterful and still-relevant portrait of the tensions that build in a Brooklyn neighborhood on the hottest day of the summer. The 1989 essential will be preceded by the 2021 Ohio Shorts Jury Prize winner, Standing in The Blink of a Night: For Casey Goodson Jr., by Columbus filmmaker John Landry.
As you plan ahead to join us for this free event, take a look back with the original trailer for Lee's joint, embedded above. And don't forget to arrive a little early for concession stand snacks and a visit to our table by the projection booth, where we'll have info to share about other Wex programming.
