The exhibition Jason Moran reflects the wide variety of influences and strong spirit of collaboration behind the multidisciplinary artist's work. For a playlist to accompany the show, we tapped Derek DiCenzo, a talented multi-instrumentalist and a local legend on the Columbus jazz scene.

As DiCenzo notes, "[Moran] heard a wide range of stuff growing up and becoming a musician." He sought out songs that Moran has specifically referenced, along with tracks that reflect the diversity of Moran's musical taste, pulling together music by Thelonious Monk, Fats Waller, A Tribe Called Quest, J. S. Bach, and Led Zeppelin. Also included in the list are a few of Derek's favorite tracks by Moran himself. Enjoy!
