Dane Terry

Composer, raconteur, and Columbus native Dane Terry returns to perform an evening of his distinctive songs and vignettes. Terry effortlessly blends disparate musical genres with narrative in snow-globe song-worlds that run from decadent to moonlit and throb with a Lynchian sense of the everyday-weird. A bewitching storyteller in the dubious tradition of buzzed American uncles, his performances feel both entirely familiar and yet somehow alien.

Now based in New York City, Terry was last at the Wexner Center in 2016 with his theatrical song cycle Bird in the House. More recently, he’s been working on the music-fiction podcast Dreamboy (Night Vale Presents) with frequent collaborator Ellie Heyman.

The galleries stay open until 10 PM so you can enjoy HERE: Ann Hamilton, Jenny Holzer, Maya Lin before the show.

"A natural-born storyteller, a wizard whose power to delight, crack up, and terrify an audience comes from the traditions of the uniquely American world he brings so vividly to life."
