"What I like most about supporting the Wex is that I am able to be involved and give back to a community and organization that has already given so much to me." —Jessica Burton, GenWex Advisory Committee
A highly engaged external group, the Donor Circles Council helps identify potential new members and provides guidance on ways to expand the center's donor base—whether through outreach, engagement, introductory events, or other means. This group is deeply involved in the life of the center, and serves as the host of the center's Anniversary Party each Fall.

Founded by attorney and longtime Wex and Ohio State trustee Alex and Renee Shumate, the Shumate Council is an external volunteer advisory group of professionals seeking to engage the African American community with Wex programming. Members of the council serve as liaisons, supporters, participants, and ambassadors as they work together with Wex staff to diversify audiences.
The GenWex Advisory Committee is a lively group of young professionals and other creatives from around the community who plan GenWex Presents events, including the annual fundraiser Off the Grid. Not just "the cool kids," GWAC organizes educational arts events that often include a social component.
