Retrospective: Carlos Reygadas

Retrospective: Carlos Reygadas
“The foremost enfant terrible of Mexican cinema.”—Dennis Lim, New York Times

We’re thrilled to welcome iconoclastic Mexican filmmaker Carlos Reygadas on March 30 for a screening of his latest film, Our Time, as part of this career retrospective. Deeply influenced by such titans as Roberto Rossellini and Carl Theodor Dreyer, Reygadas likewise uses real locations and nonactors extensively, and his loosely structured narratives allow for deep exploration of spiritual and existential issues.

Special thanks to Jon Vickers, Indiana University Cinema.
