Katie Laux has had a diverse career within the central Ohio arts community. Joining the Wex in 2015, Laux manages various departments that enhance the customer experience – ticketing services, house management, Wexner Store, special events – and is liaison with Heirloom Café. She also produces many of the special events that the Wexner Center hosts, including the Anniversary Party and exhibition openings.

Prior to the Wex, Katie for more than five years served as the Director of Special Events for the Columbus Museum of Art, culminating her tenure with the opening of renovated and expanded museum in 2015. Prevent Blindness Ohio expanded her career in the health not-for-profit sector, serving as Vice President of Development and Events, managing offices in Cleveland, Cincinnati, Dayton, and Toledo. Katie’s career in Columbus began at the nationally ranked Columbus Arts Festival, where she served as Director for seven years. During those years, Katie faced many challenges – not only weather related – but also numerous downtown construction projects requiring relocation of the festival to the Discovery District. She has and continues to serve on many organization boards and community-wide, and volunteers at numerous events throughout the city.
